Dewdrop Homes will produce elegantly designed homes with state-of-the-art technological amenities. The use of renewable energy, cellular and Internet technologies will be maximized in our housing solutions as outlined below:

Renewable Energy

Photovoltic and other Solar Facilities
Jamaica, a tropical climate country, typically gets minimum sunshine of nine hours per day. Solar systems are relatively expensive, but their payback (approximately 3 years for water heaters and 8 to 25 years for photovoltaic systems) justifies their application. Some solar facilities include:

• Solar water heater
• Solar electrical power systems, which provide electricity for the home
• Solar security and walkway lights
  
  

Wind Turbine Generators
Some areas of Jamaica have wind speed in excess of 7 mph, enough to turn the blades of a wind turbine. Where feasible, wind turbines will be installed in complexes and will generate some of the electricity required by homes within these complexes.

If excess electricity is produced by photovoltaic or wind turbines, it can be sold to the local power company. This can be done whenever the regulation allows it.

Internet and Cellular Technologies

These technologies will be widely used. However, to maintain our competitive edge, we will not mention the specific applications at this time.


Security
We will also provide a full burglar alarm facility for homes if requested. If there is an intrusion, the home owner will get an alert on their cell phone or via email. Also, we will include the physical facilities for 24 hour security in all our complexes.

Housing units will be available for purchase in its basic form (i.e. no technological amenities). The basic unit will be priced and each feature will be priced separately. A customer can then choose a feature that they desire.


Customer Care / Service

At Dewdrop Homes, we believe that customer care and contact is critical. As such, we have established facilities that will allow customers to contact us easily. These facilities are online access and a call centre. We have also made arrangements with three leading building societies for our customers to have direct access.

On-Line Access
Dewdrop Homes offer to clients who have purchased homes the ability to view online the stages of development of their unit. The customer will also be able to check their stage of purchase such as payments made and monies owed.

Our on-line facility will also facilitate other unique features such tips on buying a home and a mortgage calculator.

Call Centre
Our call centre will be open between the hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on week days. This centre will also serve as contact point between customers and management

Access to Building Societies
Our company will build alliances with three of the country's top building societies so that our customers can have access to mortgages, subject to the building societies requirements. These alliances will be established within the first year of operation.
